FAST-zero’25, the “8th International Symposium on Future Active Safety Technology toward zero traffic accidents”, will be held from 23 to 26 September 2025 in Arles, a city with an history of two millennia located in the South Area of France. It will be organized by the Laboratory of Accident Mechanisms Analysis of Gustave Eiffel University, in association with JSAE. This return of FAST-zero in Europe will coincide with the 40th birthday of this Laboratory.
Following the tradition of FAST-zero symposia, the 8th Edition will bring together researchers and engineers from industry and academia to present the current state-of-the-art and progress in research and development of active safety technologies.
Innovation in the field of active safety is the key driving force towards the ultimate goal of realizing zero traffic accidents. Researchers around the world have been investigating methods for active safety to reduce and possibly eliminate the number of traffic accidents as well as road fatalities. Automated and connected vehicles, that have experienced a great improvement in the last years, have the potential to enhance safety. Human factors and validation / assessment of active safety devices are also in the scope of this symposium.
