FERSI calls for a road safety mission in Horizon Europe

FERSI calls upon the European Commission to give road safety a strong and visible position in Horizon Europe, the next EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

In a short document FERSI clarifies and substantiates the need for further research and innovation in the area of road safety in order to meet the ambitious European objective of halving the number of road fatalities and serious injuries in the next decade, and having a road without victims in 2050. The document was distributed among relevant EC officials, national contact points and transport organisations.   

8th International Symposium Human Modeling and Simulation, 19-20 November 2020

The next International Symposium Human Modeling and Simulation in Automotive Engineering will take place on 19 and 20 November 2020 in Wiesbaden, Germany. The symposium continues and advances the dialogue between researchers, software developers and industrial users of human models with presentations from researchers, software manufacturers and industrial users on biomechanical research, digital human models and their application in automotive development. 

RSS 2021, 22-24 September 2021

The 8th Road Safety and Simulation (RSS) International Conference will take place on 22-24 September 2021 in Athens, Greece. RSS is biannual platform for researchers and professionals of different expertise where to share individual experience and state-of-the-art research in the area of road safety and simulation. The Conference’s theme will be: “Road Safety and Digitalization” aiming to capture all recent trends in road safety emerging technologies, surrogate measures, augmented and virtual reality, big data, modeling and simulation, which are expected to boost global road safety in the coming years.
